Blog: Still running vSphere 5.0 and 5.1? The time to upgrade is now.
vSphere 5.0 and 5.1 – The time to upgrade is now.
VMware will end their general support for vSphere 5.0 and 5.1 on 24th August 2016.
If you are still using these versions you should plan the next upgrade to 6.0. After this date you will no longer receive security patches, updates or bug fixes from VMware which can have a knock on effect for your server applications and hardware hosts.
In a live production environment where all your applications sit within vSphere we appreciate that upgrading is not a simple task for many organisations and requires planning and preparation.
As a trusted VMware partner, Trustco specialise and understand the complexities of virtualisation. We will provide a full scope of works to upgrade your virtual estate, taking time to understand the effects of the upgrade process in your unique environment, listing pre-requisites and producing an agreed schedule of works for a swift and methodical system upgrade.
Our technical team will review and advise on the simplest upgrade path for your business with the least disruption and downtime.
Contact Trustco on 0844 880 1999 to discuss your requirements and arrange a scope.
